The North Face Men's Bat Hang Denim Pants New

New from The North Face - Men’s Bat Hang Denim Pant #1 © The North Face
The idea to create technical, stretch denim climbing jeans for this collection came about from James Pearson and some of the other The North Face climbers.

The criteria was simple – tough, light, stretchy, no unnecessary buttons or zips, and above all, to look good, something you would be happy to wear on the high street, or to the pub after climbing!

"We worked through various prototypes, taking things off, adding things, tweaking them until they were just right. I have been wearing the jeans for around one year now, and they are pretty much the only trousers I wear, seriously, I almost never take them off (cue to say eeeuuuurrggghhhhh, how disgusting). The best climbing pants I have ever worn. A few things will change for the next version, but the concept will remain essentially the same. They are the first piece in the new climbing specific range being developed for Spring 13, and I think we are off to a good start." says James.

James' Favourite Points:

  • The material is ace, tough yet light, with just a little stretch.
  • The cut is great - Diamond crotch and twisted seams on the legs.
  • The double thick knee - this is the best feature and something I insisted on - it makes kneebars so much more comfortable!
  • RRP £65
  • Sizes S,M,L,XL,XXL
  • Fabric 86% cotton / 12% Nylon / 2% Elastane

Ah, it didn't come from the other companies that have made them in the past then. Ben

James should know better than to call a pair of trusers "a pant".

So they're not actually available to buy then?
