The classic 20 mile route taking in Castleton, Mam Tor, Edale, Kinder & Lose Hill. An 8.5 mile route is also available. Runners and walkers welcome.
Checkpoint sites will be identified by a red/white orienteering "kite" on an obvious feature to which a SPORTident timing box will be attached. You can use your own SPORTident dibber, or rent one at registration.

A real mixture of dirt paths, loose rocky sections, grassy fields, flagstones and some tarmac. Steep and technical in places, especially the ascent up Cave Dale
Much of the route is high and exposed to bad weather. Snow is likely on Kinder in the Winter, but generally the paths should be fine all year around. Some very muddy sections after rain, but no deep bogs
