The Business: The Font is a new bouldering gym launched in Wandsworth (London) in April 2021.

Role: Climbing Coach

Reporting to: Head Coach

Pay: £13.50 to £23.50 per hour depending on previous experience and qualifications.

Hours: Flexible (dependent on candidates availability)

The Role: We are looking for experienced climbing coaches who can support the expansion of our coaching programme, as well as supporting the day-to-day running of the centre where appropriate. Plus, we have an ambitious growth plan that will provide significant opportunities for career progression.

Responsibilities: As a Coach with The Font, you will have one main goal – Delivering exceptional climbing coaching for our customers. We’d expect this to include responsibilities for:

• Providing climbing instruction & coaching to customers.
• Being responsible for the health, safety & wellbeing of our customers on climbing sessions.
• Ensuring clear and appropriate communication with parents / carers of coached children.

Essential Skills:

• Proactive, enthusiastic, friendly, knowledgeable, and reliable approach to customer service.
• Excellent communication skills
• Effective time management & organisation.
• A regular climber with a desire to improve your own climbing skills and knowledge.
• Have a desire to see others improve & succeed.

Desirable Skills:

• Previous climbing coaching experience, or experience of coaching/teaching in another discipline with both children & adults.
