The 2023 Rucksack Club Charity Calendar in support of Climbers Against Cancer is on the shelves now!
Thanks to the generosity of The Rucksack Club and some of its individual members, every penny of the purchase price will go to support Climbers Against Cancer in funding research around the world. That’s right – think of it as making a £10 charity donation and getting a free calendar!
Fifty photos taken from the equivalent month of the previous year feature members enjoying the whole gamut of Club activities: climbing, mountaineering, bouldering, fell-running; ice-climbing and via ferrata among other things. From The Matterhorn to The Ben; Gogarth to Georgia; and Cornwall to Chamonix, there’s something for everybody!
Through the worldwide climbing community, CAC https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/ aims to increase awareness and raise funds for research in the continued fight against a disease that affects so many. Climbers Against Cancer is a non-profit organisation, with all proceeds donated directly to cancer research facilities throughout the world. Last year, with your support, we raised over £5,000 for CAC – let’s see if we can go even further this time!
What's not to like!? Get one for the kitchen wall, and a spare for the study, and don’t forget a few for stocking-fillers! Thanks in advance for your generous support!
It's only 12 weeks until Christmas (scary I know!) so I'm kicking off an Advent-style countdown. Each week I'll post one of the main monthly images and if someone guesses correctly they'll get a free calendar. As a starter, what's the route featured on the front cover (no cheating if you already have a copy!). Post your guess as a comment.
With less than 10 weeks of the calendar / stocking-filler buying season left, here's chance to win one of these superb calendars. Can you name the featured route for the month of May? Post your answers as a comment and the closest (area > crag > route) by Monday gets a free calendar.
Of course, if you can't wait or don't want to leave it to chance, you can buy your copy now directly from the CAC Shop
Here's another chance to win one of these superb calendars. Can you name this route from one of the September thumbnails? Post your answers as a comment and the closest (area > crag > route) by Monday gets a free calendar. Tiebreaker - name the handsome chap in the CAC T-shirt
Of course, if you can't wait or don't want to leave it to chance, you can buy your copy now directly from the CAC Shop
Here's the feature photo from February - something white to get you in the mood for the winter season - name the route for a free calendar.
Of course, if you can't wait or don't want to leave it to chance, you can pick one up at the following walls: Awesome Walls, The Works, BlocHaus, Preston and Substation Macclesfield, or buy your copy now directly from the CAC Shop
> I will definitely buy one and I will buy long sleeve T Shirt aswell.

I am getting a ling sleeve T-shirt from my sister and hoodie from my brother - both as Xmas presents. Great for training at walls and outdoor bouldering.
> Thanks so much Dom, it's a good looking calendar and turned up the other day. January or April are my favourite images. Well done with a great product and good luck with it. Cheers, Ian
No winner this week, but there's still time to pick up this perfect stocking filler at your local wall or at the CAC Shop https://www.climbersagainstcancer.org/shop/rucksack-club-cac-calendar/ - think of it as a freebie with a £10 donation to cancer research and everyone is a winner!
The calendar season is coming to a close and The Rucksack Club is delighted that we’ve raised almost £4,000 for Climbers Against Cancer. Huge thanks to everyone who bought one, and everyone who helped to promote them. You can still bag yourself a bargain for a fiver (including postage – feel free to donate more!) and why not have a browse of the other goodies in the CAC Shop while you’re there…
