Mick is good at picking out obscure features from creatures which we don't normally notice - and quite often with no sense of proportion or scale.  I too would  have said something like 'Bear' or ratus ratus,  

But I wonder if we're looking at the hairs on a Bee ???

That third one looks like pedipalps.. is it a tarantula or other big spider?

BTW, photo took a few days after they arrived. 

I got the clue in retrospect.  It was the forked tail that gave it away.  Eventually...
