If the worst happens and you end up in a crevass but manage to get out using a jumar or a tibloc how knackered is your rope lible to be, and could it be trusted to take a fall after it?
No reason for occasional use of a Tibloc to knacker the rope provided its used carefully (IE seated before being weighted). Its yer crampons which will knacker it.
