Dave gave the route a fine go - taking quite a big whipper on the lower wall, pulling straight back on and having it to the top. "Yeah, I didn't do it, but I feel like I had the adventure!". In this photo Dave is on the final few moves in the run out groove at the very top of the crag. A fall from here would see you go a long way. Dave's elbows were out and he was slapping. I watched nervously, especially as he was too pumped to place the large cam 15ft below!

I had a bit of an odd experience in that groove. Also pumped and slapping suddenly everything went quiet, the pump dissapeared and then i was sitting on the top of the crag with no memory of getting there. Its the only time its ever happened to me. Would be interesting to hear if anyone else has had the same thing happen.

s'not that hard is it? On-sighted it back in the '80s with no probs. No hard moves, you just keep pulling on decent holds.

Had someone told him there was a glass of chardonnay and a fair maiden at the top? Nice shot Jack. L
