A man who last year climbed Ben Nevis six times in six days for charity ('Neverest', reported here on UKH) starts a new six-day fundraising challenge tomorrow - all nine of Scotland's 4000-foot peaks. He'll cycle between the hill groups.

Falkirk-based voluntary sector worker Ric Glynne-Owen is hoping to raise money for the Speur Ghlan Early Intervention Service, Scotland's first independent early intervention service and centre for pre-school children with developmental difficulties including autism.
The Speur-Ghlan 4000ft Club Challenge will see Ric cycle from Pitlochry to Aviemore, from where he'll climb his first five 4000-ers: Cairn Gorm , Ben Macdui , Cairn Toul , sgor an lochain uaine and Braeriach .
He'll then cycle from Aviemore to Fort William before climbing the Lochaber four, Aonach Mor , Aonach Beag , Carn Mor Dearg and Ben Nevis .
Speur-Ghlan was founded by Ric's wife in 2010. It supports children aged between 12 months and five years who have either been diagnosed with or identified as being at risk for Autism, developmental delay and speech and language issues.
'The charity is unique in its approach and support of families and children that access the service' explains Ric. 'I believe totally in the work it carries out, the charity receives no government funding and exists entirely by fundraising and small grants.'
'[Last year's challenge] Neverest was a huge success, my initial fund raising aim was £700 however we managed to raise over £6500. Just as important, with the help of some businesses we managed to raise some great publicity for the charity.'
