The three climbers who went missing on Mulhacen (3478m), Spain's highest peak, have been named as Colin Riddiough, Paul Dick and John Plews, all of Cleveland. The tragedy happened on Sunday 5th March when the son of one of the victims alerted the local rescue services. Conditions were then so bad that the rescue services were unable to make a proper search until Monday when they found the bodies in a snow hole on the south side of the mountain.
