Graham & Parady do Elfe (F9a)

Both Dave Graham and Luke Parady have done Elfe, F9a, on their 5th try. Elfe is Fred Nicole's old test-piece done in 1995, and since repeated by Klem Leskot and Iker Pou.

The route, in the Grimselpass in Switzerland, is hugely overhanging; have a look for yourself at this picture of Klem Loskot hard at work. We think you'll like it. Graham and Parady are top American climbers; both have done The Fly in New Hampshire, which is almost certainly 9a, and while more vertical than most 9as, consists of tiny tenuous moves on fingernail edges.
