Folks,

This has been my most unproductive scottish winter season for a variety of reasons, but rather than whinge about it I decided to look back over the years at all the great days out i've had and try and pull together some of my favourite photos and experiences. Hope you enjoy the photos as much as I did reminiscing about them:

Why not reply with your favourite photos and an accompanying anecdote? Could be a fun and inspirational thread!

Cheers, Dave

Non existent winter season for several years so I love drooling over this, framed on my office wall.

Not my photo but a memorable day!

In reply to MrRiley: I thoroughly enjoyable day, we’d already done the Pumpkin before this.  I think it was 2010

My favorite Scottish winter climbing photo of all time (and really my favorite photo of all time) is this one of Doug Tompkins on Hel's Lum:

That's a very atmospheric photo! I'm trying to figure out whats going on though - he appears to be soloing but has two axes on his harness?!

One of them is just a stray loop and strap dangling off his rucksack I think.

The other looks like a Chouinard Zero or similar, possibly just holstered temporarily but more likely as backup to whatever tools he was actually climbing with (probably some other Chouinard or Macinnes creations given the timeframe!)
