Hi, I'm after a few ideas for a club trip in June.
Six or so possible 4,000m objectives that are particularly good in some way or other, or you enjoyed the most. Might be by the normal route, or another line, rock or snow, D or easier.
Dave, you may find the so called 'Spaghetti' route suits. You can get several days of 4,000m peaks in going from hut to hut with a variety of grade options and short cuts to make the links.
You could do worse than establish base camp at the camp site in Saas Grund or Saas Fee, where you’re surrounded by 4000ers. Plus side: a lot cheaper than hut-to-hut, and you have a quick getaway if the weather doesn’t play ball. Minus: a lot more vertical metres up and down between the summits, if it’s peak-bagging you’re after.
