Jan/Feb 2025 I have some time off and always wanted to do a south america trip.
Currently thinking of Chile or Argentina , Ojos del Saldado or Aconcagua, any other recommendations?
Or Colombian Volcanoes.
Gather Bolivian/Peru peaks mostly run in their winter season.
If anyone's has first hand experience of that neck of the woods sure be grateful for your thoughts....how were the ascents, how were the companies or local guides.
fwiw I'll be 50, done an alpine glaciar walk 6 or so years ago, crampons and some ice axe use. Many sport and a few trad outdoor trips, mostly Europe. Max altitude 4500m trekking in Himalayas.
