Hypothetical question.
The Matterhorn is 100% dry, it's mid-summer and you have at least a week of perfect weather forecast. You're going up the Lion ridge, fast and light.
What are you putting on your feet?

Lightweight scrambling boots - sportiva trango tower, Scarpa ribelle or Boreal Brenta.
Nice squishy trainers to walk in and out of the hut in.
12 point crampons for if it’s snowy/icey near the top.
Spiked running shoes
Boots

Nutella
Did it in similar conditions couple years back in the Ribelle Lite (lightweight B2) and was happy with the choice. Mate had B3s and that was overkill.
If there's no snow (we had some at the very summit), you could get away with approach shoes if it's really warm.
