If you're near a Decathlon, I find their Quechua (or Simond) ranges of softshell and walking trousers excellent, though you may need to go up a size. I now have 3 pairs, not because they wear out, just because they're good! I have a couple of thicker weight which are wind resistant and warm, and a newer thin stretch material pair.
These are not the type with a laminated water-resistant layer, just close woven fabric with a DWR treatment, which is what I prefer.
