When guide book writers Gordon Jenkins and Mark Davies suggested that we chip in some prizes for their Salathé Wall Challenge, how could we say no. Get yourself down to the beautiful Wye Valley, get some mileage in and leave with a chance of wining a Black Diamond rope and Head torch. Just email your time to social@theclimbingacademy.com and see how you've done on our website.

Speaking from experience, this should have a health warning on it. A fun day out though!

Hi Mike, I sent you a mail about the routes missing from logbooks on the Salathe List.
Cheers,

Finishing Touch 6a+ ?????
Really?
Many people seem to find the start hard even in the context of a 6b route.

Hi Brian, Have you picked up the new guide yet? Finishing Touch described as stepping in from the left to clip first bolt, suggests 6b+ for direct.
Quite a few of the more colourfully named recent Wyndcliff Quarry routes seem to have assumed new names too.

Ah, that adds up. Haven't got the guide yet; hope to get a copy on Tuesday.

That doesn't surprise me
