Basically, im after a hard wearing, breathable softshell-type jacket, and this seems to fit the bill; just after a couple of views from anyone who has this jacket before spending the cash.

Cheers guys.

I've had two Fjallraven jackets but not that particular model. I assume all of them are polycotton mix. Their fit and design are all pretty much faultless and very functional. Both have been almost 100% waterproof after waxing/reproofing them. Extremely breathable, totally windproof and if you do a bit of birdwatching like me they are totally silent. My first one got stolen from my car, the current model I've had for......17 years and shows a little bit of wear around the cuffs and bottom of the jacket. I rewax them around once a year.

Would I buy another? Probably (but only because there seem to be many other none goretex type jackets of probably, similiar quality) - otherwise yes, without a doubt.
