Just seen the Rab link to project "Strata" in Norway. This place looks astonishing! Does anyone have any info or been climbing there? Any ideas about transport/accomodation options?
In reply to Jon Wylie: The area is Senja. Strata is the jacket. Nice place, Guy Lacelle and Ines Papert have done quite a lot in that area if I remember correctly!
Senja is stunningly beautiful, though, as the Rab video suggests, the climate is less reliable than areas further away from the sea. We spent a few days there a couple of years ago, and got a couple of good routes done before it rained and everything fell apart! We flew via Oslo to Bardufoss and split our time between Lavangen on the mainland and Senja. We stayed at Senja Lodge which was unsophisticated but comfortable: the owner is Bent Eilertsen, who features in the film and knows more than anyone about routes on the island.
In reply to Mark Bull: We met Bent and his girlfriend in the Stetind carpark in August - a friendly guy and gave us loads of good info on routes around there.
