Over the road bridge on station road and either continue past the pool as you say, or drop into fitz park just after the bridge and cut across to the path and back on to the usual route. Probably not much in it time wise.

I completed the round on Friday 5th, Solo and unsupported until the final road section, where my misses ran with me back to Moot Hall.

In reply to petegunn: just in case anyone still wants the answer, I geeking paced both options-park or pool, for my attempt earlier this year. Pool was over 150m shorter, if I recall correctly. Not much in it.
