What you have to remember is that Borrowdale runs basically N to S, and the majority of the crags are on the east side of the valley, so well sheltered from easterly winds. However, the downside of this is that most of the crags don't get any sunshine till the afternoon, but they do mostly get plenty of afternoon sun in the summer half of the year. In winter, the sunny slot is very short as the sun sets behind the Cat Bells Ridge on the other side of Derwentwater. At the moment the days are getting longer and the sun getting higher in the sky at a rapid rate of change, so I reckon you might have potentially 5 - 6 hours of sunshine and no wind on crags like Shepherds, Black Crag (RH end). Quayfoot Buttress gets the sun a bit later I believe. Good luck.
