Get involved as the UK Pollinator Monitoring Scheme (PoMS) heads into its third year.

PoMS is working with a team of brilliant volunteers to collect new data on pollinating insects, to help inform their conservation.

we need new volunteers to help with the systematic surveying of sites across England, Scotland and Wales. This involves ‘adopting’ a 1km survey square, meeting with a PoMS team member and visiting the square on three further occasions during summer to collect insects with water-filled pan traps. Travel expenses are covered and being a volunteer is a great way to explore a new area whilst being part of a worthwhile and important piece of ecological research. We are seeking volunteers for sites in parts of Wales and Scotland, as well as the English counties of Kent, Sussex, Somerset and Norfolk. For more info and to get involved contact poms@ceh.ac.uk
