Ok. So this isnt a question about the planet as such.
Just watching New Horizons on BBC4. They are showing amazing photographs of the surface of Pluto.
There are blindspots on mobile signals between many major cities and I regularly show no signal on various digital radio stations in my town.
So how the frig do they manage to not only calculate how to send a car size vehicle to this tiny planet, but take detailed photos and beam them back, 4.6 billion miles away?
Space stuff totally bends the mind at times.
