I’ve included the blurry one to try and give a sense of its upper wings, which weren’t very blue. In a chalky meadow, Kent.
How big was it please? Looks like a small blue to me, most other blues have some orange spots on the underwing or in the case of the Holly blue have light blue underwing and very blue uppers.
A wee bit bigger, or similar size to this which I’m fairly sure was a holly blue
And saw a Small Heath (I think?) and Speckled Wood.
Looks like a male Common Blue.
Yep, Holly Blue.
Yes, that's a second generation Small Heath.
Not a small blue then.
Although I'm currently having a stroll around Incombe hole and there's a fair few tiny tiny blues that have Chalkhill Blue markings so I have no idea.
