Some of you may be interested in the Scottish Veteran Women's Munro Relay currently underway. This is a group of like-minded women currently making their way round all the Munros, raising money for Free2Run, a charity that provides outdoor programming for girls.

All the women involved are over 40, and some are into their 60s. They're all experienced hill-goers and orienteers, and seem to be having a fine old time, if a little soggy at times.

You can follow their progress here:

They've had some appalling weather recently but now have only about 30 Munros left to do - a fantastic effort.  The logistics of organising such an outing must be a huge challenge, never mind the actual hill going.

Amazing that the record for a Munro relay is only 11 days, 20 hours and 16 mins - set in 1993, although I believe they used motorised transport between areas unlike the Veteran Women.
