Foinaven - Creag Urbhard and the Dionard Buttress, maybe?

That was my first thought, although something doesn't look quite right. Weird lense maybe, but would expect to see the loch in the foreground from that distance...

Could it be in Ireland, the Twelve Bens or the Maumturks? The geology looks like quartzite.

I think it is a bit beyond the loch, where another burn cuts through the crags at NC 357478.

After discounting Foinaven, I thought of Coire Guibhasachain on An Teallach.   Crags on right when you walk out from the big corrie.

Agree - Connemara is definitely a possibility

Is it an actual photograph? Something seems odd about it. Then again, I might be wrong.

Edit. Having seen the geograph photo, I'd agree with Mark.

It's Creag Alistair, a bit further up Strath Dionard from Urbhard. Good pic in Northern Highlands North which makes it clear.

Edit: This is the buttress Mark mentioned earlier

Foinaven - Ganu Mor

Looks absolutely brilliant. One more place to add to the list.

Thanks all. Looks like the Geograph pic. It's clipped from a photo the WWF are using for a charity event .......in the Lake District!
