Does anyone know if there is a French equivalent to online OS, or Swisstopo? I've searched but all I have found is GeoPortail, doesn't appear to be sufficiently detailed, unless I'm missing something.

You can change the layers on geoportail from the default setting to IGN topographic maps. Think the button’s on the right hand side. The detail changes as you zoom in/out.

Ta, I couldn’t find it on the website, but googling ‘geoportail IGN’ got me there.

you can also get it as an app search iphigenie, there is a yearly subscription of around £20, if you are planning to come out a lot.

Geoportail app is free and had IGN topos. I use it all the time but it doesn't do offline so relies on reception.
