What is the best source for the route description of the Mittelegi and descent (W Flank or S Ridge)?

I've had a look online but didn't find anything with much detail.

The best one I've seen is in the "Berner Alpen" book by Topo Verlag. It's easy to get hold of in Switzerland.

The SAC guide has lots of text but the diagrams are nowhere near as clear.

Hi. I can't recall where we got the topo from. However, if it's useful, here's a bunch of photos we took when doing the full Mittelegi ridge back in 2010.

Thanks. That book and the Walliser Alpen are out of print until next year.  Hopefully I'll be able to pick one up when I'm out there.

"Follow the ridge" is really all you need going up. Down is a bit trickier, over the Eigerjochs, but not much.
