Aclimatization routes before Lion Ridge

Hi UKC,

Im aiming to climb the Matterhorn via Southwest (Italian or Lion) Ridge (AD+) around 25th August. Can anyone suggest some worthwhile acclimatization/practice routes acessable from Cervinia?

Also - I understand the hut must be booked by email - what are the rules regarding bivi-ing nearby if the hut is full? are the Italians more relaxed than the Swiss?

Out of interest where is dragon ridge in valtournenche? We're there this year and I can't find any any information or descriptions for it, I've even tried searching in Italian. Any information would be appreciated.
