Ok, very random.

There’s a bit of background music on a Radio 4 trailer being played at the minute that I should know but can’t identify.

It’s like 60’s American Sci-fi music. Kinda similar to the Startrek theme and a similar to a sample on Space/Cerys Ballad of Tom Jones. Female choral vocal sounds, not words.

Anyone know what it is?

It could be a Ennio Morricone tune... not sure.

If it's the music accompanying the David Sedaris trailer, it comes from Mercury Rev's 'Deserter's Songs'. I think the track title is 'Endlessly'.

I’ve got that on CD somewhere hence why I knew I knew the tune...

The track is called Endless.

Intrestingly, my subconscious seemed to tell me to listen to that track first from the lp track list!

Supplementary question... Is that bit by Mercury Rev or a sample of something older?
