There's nothing better than being many pitches up a new line you don't yet know is possible, in a country whose people, creatures and customs are a constant source of fascination, wondering whether you have enough time, food, energy or talent to make the top.

Anything Else We Should Know
I've just about convinced myself that being weak is an advantage!

Also now largely based in Ariège in the French Pyrenees, helped write the guidebook (http://www.rockfax.com/climbing-guides/books/france-ariege-2012) , and really enjoying all of the fantastic climbing here on our doorstep (some of it almost literally so!) If only there wasn't so much work to do in developing our extensive farmhouse and barns into desirable accommodation! (http://www.chezarran.com)
