To be honest this doesn't look that great compared to the warmth and colours of the original slide. No tweaking, just a scan to match the original, funny how people naturally suspect tweaking on a half decent shot.

Don't worry about it I'm not offended in the slightest. The camera I use can vary the exposure as it rotates; hence the correct exposure for the sun (which also causes the darkening of the clouds and snow around the sun)and correct exposure for the much softer light in the rest of the sky, this results in the massive dynamic range you've noted.

Stuff photoshop, I want that camera! ... not exactly a holiday point n shoot is it? but then you're not your run of the mill holiday snapper either. Nice image cheers for sharing it... and giving me something else to save for :)H

I shall be going here when I move back from Aberdeen! Just out of interest at what time of day ,around about, as I reckon you probably don't have a filing cabinet memory, was this taken? Looks like it could be a good winter venue for us.
