Classic view of mont blanc, taken from the final snow slope of the Cosmique. Three images stitched together.

Great, looks like it stopped raining! Was the route harder with all the fresh snow?

Just ! We had a small weather window to get it done as we were dodging showers and storms all week. But everyone else had same idea and its was pretty busy. It was good fun with the snow, but highish temps made it soft.

Great to here it, did you here about the nick of any of the ice routes? ie. Swiss route. Frendo spur ect.
IanJackson - 27/Jun/07
Frendo had been done a couple of times , not sure about the swiss route. Chere Couloir was mint apparently, as was Table colouir which we managed later on in the week. We backed off the Gervesutti and north face of the tour ronde, as the pack had not frozen through - ended up on the east ridge, we tried the decent via normal route and were up to waist in soft slab so headed down the ridge. There was a lot of snow down to about 3000 when we left, but temps were not low enough at night to consolidate. Still sounds similar conditions at the moment with more snow and storms.
