Thanks Russell, good of you to say, it is in stark contrast to our own approach four hours earlier in which we were cold and clag-bound all the way from the Gnifetti, we just slogged non-stop for 3½hrs, arriving almost hypothermic with headaches and frostnipped finger-ends - a bit dramatic for what we expected to be a pleasant glacier stroll - also i got AMS but felt much better next day after i threw up so we clocked a few 4,000ers on the way down.
