Auf wiedersehen Pet, built by gordie brickies this time working for the Italians. Hadrians wall in the majestic rolling hills of southern Northumberland, Sewingshields Crags are the high point on the far horizon.

Such a lovely photo. I've always been intrigued by Hadrian's Wall. Read 'The Eagle of the Ninth' at an early age. (The Ninth Legion marched north into Scotland and disappeared.) Have never actually seen a photograph of the wall until now - so thank you. Reminiscent of the Mourne wall, in Ireland.

I find Northumberland too be quite boring TBH , lovely place but you need to climb high to get a good photo , much prefer
the lakes or Scotland
