Brilliant…looks epic

Different!

Such a familiar sight, and yet hardly ever photographed! It looks as though this bundle of rope may be about to knot up on itself. (Throwing the ropes down in two separate coils minimises that problem.)

What is the strange colouration on the rock in the foreground?
Robert Durran - 11/Sep/21
thanks, my brother took the photo of me, by some miracle the ropes landed perfectly at the bottom (much to my surprise!) Completely agree John, much better way of doing it as this is usually carnage. Beautiful rock patterns in the foreground but couldn't offer a lichen formation explanation.
