A great pic but it would be better to resize the image it at ?x580. Then we would really see the detail that such a shot deserves.

Hmmmm, 580 is a bit small don't you think ? I have my monitor resolution set at 1024 x 768 on a 16" Monitor and it displays OK. The original was scanned from a slide at 3600 DPI and output at 7200 DPI so was in the order of 10K pixels wide. I reduced this to 750 as suggested on the photo upload page. There was some work done in PhotoShop on this. I changed the contrast quite a lot. The 2 guys comming up from the direction of the Peutry Ridge were "moved" up the slope so that they silhouetted against the snow and not the background mountains. A little lens glare in the sky was brushed out. I'll be printing this one out at 35x95cm to hang on my wall... Good memory of a class day with the summit to ourselves. The predicted storms didn't materialise and it stayed fine for the rest of the week...

By 580 I meant the height resized to that & let the width take care of itself. There has been other stuff on the site that is outside this size but if it's good especially in a panorama format then it should get the nod. Not sure about the contrast in the foreground & lack of colour but impossible to say without seeing the original. However the image we see is your interpretation & the background makes the shot.

Rare picture that one.
The small cumulus clouds are most unusual I can confirm.
Well done!
