A couple of MSR axes (one could be a Thunderbird), plus a few Stubai hammers. Possibly a MacInnes Massey axe, a Clog deadman, Whillans harness (white one) and a silver Salewa warthog. It would be fun to reproduce this photo with current gear.

OK, I have a few definites, though other people's memory seems better than mine. The tent is a Robert Saunders Dalomite tent, which I bought off Don Morrison in person when he was dismantling his tent exhibition at Calver. The sleeping bag is a Mountain Equipment Lavaredo, still in regular use. The leftmost boots are Royal Robbins Galiber Yosemite Boots, later superceded by the Mescalito, and nothing since touches them.
The two sacks at the back are Berghaus Cyclops Rocs. All the harnesses are Whillans. Blue Joe Brown hat at extreme left. Next to it is a water bottle bought from the Japanese who arrived each summer, bought all their gear, and sold it in the campsites when they left at the end of the summer. I'm amazed we could only rustle up a few hexes between the six of us.

I thought they were both Cyclops Rocs, but can't be certain re the blue one, - you tell me!

Those red topped ice-screws were useless. I threw mine away. I seem to recall getting Pete Boardman to get me 3 Lavaredo bags from ME at a discount. He said they were required for sherpas!

Just noticed a pair of Clog ascenders, just below the deadmen. The white cords above the pitons were hawser prussik loops.

I spotted the Clog ascendeurs, they were pretty good IIRC - at least they didn't snap like the original jumar was reputed to.
I'm pretty sure the blue sac is a Millet.

We must have been camped just along from you that summer. I think the long, orange ice axe in the middle is a MSR Thunderbird (there's still one in the cellar), the next right is a SM Curver and the orange headed ice hammers to the left are I'm sure Camp (somethings ?). They were the cheapest 'drooped pick' hammer you could buy that year. I remember leading Centre Post with it and thinking it was the dog's danglies. But then our threshold of what constituted 'good gear' back then was pretty low.
