As summer draws to a close, the nights are drawing in, and along with that, climbing time :-( So I was SO chuffed tonight to have had a brief opportunity to lead this amazing 6C route in the Dinorwic Slate Quarries. There was a VERY thin move with my right toe on a hold just 2cm wide and perhaps 5mm deep. I couldn't believe it would hold my body weight, but it did, in order to make a very powerful, faith-filled move!
Thanks so much to my belayer, my good friend Kamal for watching my every move.

Thanks SO much Marc, I appreciate that matey - incredibly testing route up to 2/3 height which did test me hard as I slowly edged up. The light for the photo was superb, literally last half hour of daylight !

A bit of an optical illusion - I saw it as a corner for ages before my brain could see it was indeed an arete!

Like Kafoozalem I first saw this as a corner, not an arête. But now I’ve realised, I can no longer see it as a corner! Great shot, by the way.

To Jon: LOL yes agreed :-) When it was pointed out I could see it too but now I’m struggling to see it again :-)
