Ultrera - Gneiss climbing :)
The upper south crag, 'petite falaise', goes from 12m high at the RH end to about 15m off the photo to the left. Note the two climbers sitting at the foot of this crag (below the big boulder) . Although short the routes are engaging, you work hard for very metre of height gained.
Below the 15m wide ledge where the climbers are sitting is the 'grande falaise' i.e. the main face. You're only seeing the top 40 metres of the left side here, with another 30 metres of great rock below it. The tree on the ledge, bottom right of the photo is the belay at the top of pitch 1 of Le Chene.
