Unfortunately that seemed the end. I was off to Laos with Shell for two years at end Dec 1963. That marvellous red rock haunted me as I played Piaf who'd died while I was in France (it was also the year of the Profumo Scandal and Great Train Robbery, both events much enjoyed by the French).
