8 days of trekking we finally arrive at Everest Base Camp

We have just over five weeks. The plan is to go to EBC and Gokyo hopefully using the three passes, and visting as many valleys and peaks as possible along the way.
Reallly looking forward to it.
Do you have any hints and tips?

Are you using a guide? If so they will look after you regarding alptidude and weather. If not we we did not go above 500mtr per day. After couple days we would have a rest day just to acclimatise. However on rest day we still trekked up 100/200 Mtrs to take photos then back down. Just take your time and you know your own body better than anyone. You will suffer from the alptidude no doubt about it as your body will not be used to it. However if it starts affecting you in a dangerous way/ the only way is down.
