Awesome. I'd be surprised if this doesn't make photo of the week.

Wow. I mean really WOW. I can't think of a single thing you could complain about... excellent lighting, framing, intruiging subject... way to go. 5+.

This is a spectacular image, and well worth the attention. Its crazy i cant believe its still in the top 200 after all this time!

Contrast was upped a little, but otherwise that was pretty much as it was (or at least, as the camera saw it). This was taken an hour or two before sunset; the quality of the light in there was other-worldly, and the walls were almost glowing (hence 'Neon Canyon').

Thanks everyone. Me (in the pic) and Ben (the photog) are both chuffed about all the attention this picture has been getting. It's a great souvenir of a great trip. Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for it.

If it was me I'd have it printed up HUGE and on the wall in my house!
Would make a excellent magazine cover too?
Congrats - a truly awesome image.

Thanks for all the great comments! I really can't believe this pic is still here. I took it 2 years ago now, but every time I see it I feel as if I’m back again, wet, dirty, and happy. I can still taste it.

Has this been digitally enhanced? Awesome picture, but the plants do look a rather odd shade of green...
stubbonomics - 07/Nov/06
I never comment on pics normally but just had to say 'WOW!' about this one. Fantastic, utterly fantastic! I am dying to go there now.

Try viewing this image as a negative (click the negative setting in photoshop etc)... Amazingly it transforms into a massive glacial ice-cave! Brilliant photo.
