Looking towards the Couloir de Tuquerouye. The refuge of the same name is perched right at the top of the couloir at 2666 m. At the time of it's construction, little thought was given to the fact that it's placement wasn't very practical, the fantastic view had over-riding importance. Indeed, it is considered by many to be the finest view in the Pyrénées.
