Wonderful shot Ben. How do you get that segmented ray effect on the Sun and not overexpose the picture ?

Hi, to get a 'sun star' you need to reduce the aperture down - f16-22.. it depends on the lens though what effect this has!

SBC, the effect on the sun as Ben said was from a very small aperture - the blades of the aperture sort of.. split the very bright light. A small aperture reduces the light getting to the sensor so actually helps with reducing overexposure.
