isn't that the same corner as the Sting? Are the lines sharing it? No guidebook to hand now. We climbed that pitch and on top traversed hard left for 20 odd meters to be at the base of the Sting corner in late December.

Hi Erick, we followed the description quite carefully, but could be wrong. Haven't done Sting or Antichrist so don't know - it looked and felt right, but I'll defer to others in the know. Wish I'd got a pic of the top pitch, it was very atmospheric

I fell off the corner of the Sting way back when, and in my memories it does look rather like that! But perhaps all the right facing corners on that crag look kinda similar!

Top marks Erick, your interpretation of features on this crag is excellent! Have just spoken with Andy.
Keep up the good work.

Keep up the good work.
That's the Sting Burnsie I think, see p. 52 of Scottish Winter Climbs. Plus I have got an identical photo of myself in similar position.

yes looks like it's the Sting. The description for The Promised Land says to go to the very left of the big ledge, which is clearly rubbish as that is where the Sting is !! Needs updated when someone finds the line. i think it's in the middle of the wall between the corner of the sting and another groove further right ....i.e. start on the middle of the big ledge.

Ha Ha, I just happened on this pic whilst browsing and immediately thought it was the Sting.
