So there I am in taking long exposure shots in the dark up in the Peak District the other night, kept getting weird green and red hues in the sky. Couldn't see anything with the naked eye so started to get pissed off thinking something is wrong with my camera. Anyway the next morning I see a post on facebook asking if anyone saw the Aurora last night. Turns out I took pictures of it having absolutely no idea I was doing so, to think I was about to delete them!

Yes, I've heard people say that the aurora is more impressive through a camera than it is with the naked eye. Makes you wonder how often you've seen it without seeing it, if you get my drift.

I was going to ask if anyone on ukc had managed to spot the lights. Nice shot. Am very jealous, have always wanted to see them.
