1984-85 was a good winter; not much snow but loads of ice, and the Calder Valley was bristling with icefalls. This was a short one, no more than 20 or 30 feet, but lovely ice. Me and Steve worked as Outdoor Pursuits Instructors for Brad4, a Manpower Services-funded group under Bradford City Council. This was a works training day!
