My shadow seemed to be massively elongated (it appeared to be about 100 metres long) cast onto cloud that was below me over Cwm Tryfan. I was standing with my feet apart, balanced on two rocks, looking between "Adam and Eve". What makes this Brocken Spectre seem unusual, is that you are seeing a shadow appear over another shadow. My shadow appears to be projected onto the nearest droplets of water in the cloud, whilst the distinctive outline of Tryfan's three summits seems to be cast on droplets of water within the cloud or perhaps on the other side of the cloud. Because the cloud was swirling around on the breeze, the whole shadow/rainbow thing was constantly moving backwards and forwards and (slightly disconcertingly) at one point I appeared to rotate about 45 degrees.

Yes, it was an amazing moment - probably the closest I'll get to an angel :-)
