Very nice - this is like one of those victorian landscape paintings with the big vistas, lots of detail and few tiny little people. (Google tells me Henry Boddington was one.... )

is the guy on the floor in the black, holding a light mod of some sort? a reflector or flash or some such? I'd be interested to know what! Ta Rob

It looks like he's looking up at the climber and shading his eyes (see the position of the shadows).

Thanks for the comments guys. The guy in black isn't holding any light modifying devices or anything the effect is achieved in post production using a bit of the old 'dodge and burn'. Cheers
