Nice picture, but if in a similar situation, it might be worth considering forcing a flash. Might seem a bit odd given that it was probably pretty bright, but you come out pretty dark when you would otherwise be framed by the hole, but not really silouted.
Person taking it should have been lower as well, to put you more into the foreground.
